There have been many outstanding examples of the GWP in the UK over the years. However some have stood out from the crowd more than others. These have achieved record achievements in the breed in the UK and have gained their places in breed history. Below we feature both current and previous breed CC record holders plus the breed’s only Field Trial Champions and the only Working Trial/Show Champion.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
- The breed has had CC status in the UK since 1986
- In this time there have been over 100 titleholders
- The breed has been able to compete in field trials since the early 1980′s
- In this time 3 GWPs have gained the highly acclaimed title of Field Trial Champion
- The breed continues to break the boundaries of history
- In the 1990′s the breed gained its first Working Trial champion and Show Champion
New Field Trial Champion
Many congratulations to Jackie Hay and Quill (Moorrunner Marksman) who at just 2 years old and in 2 consecutive Open Field Trials has earned the title of Field Trial Champion.
Quinn is only the THIRD Field Trial Champion GWP in the UK in the history of our breed.
