This page contains the criteria for inclusion on the GWPC judges list.
The GWPC strongly recommends all people interested in judging the breed should attend a breed specific seminar and meet the breed at shows/working events in order to gain further understanding of the German Wirehaired Pointer. The KC now requires all judges to attend an Open Working Test or Open Field Trial before awarding CCs in the breed. The GWPC holds an Open Field Trial and details can be found here.
The GWPC judges list is updated on a regular basis and a copy of this list is sent out to all General Championship show secretaries and Gundog Club secretaries. Any other society who requires a copy of the current breed judges list should contact the Secretary Miss Alex Friar on 01745 852796 or preferably by email. During the year the lists are also updated on the website for download.
Please note the club does not currently accept applications sent by email. All applications should be sent in hard copy to the Secretary.
