Many congratulations to Jackie Hay and Quill who at just 2 years old and in 2 consecutive Open Field Trials has earned the title of Field Trial Champion.

Quinn is only the THIRD Field Trial Champion GWP in the UK in the history of our breed.

Our AGM will take place on Sunday 18 March 2012 at Needwood Jubilee Village Hall, Newchurch, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, DE13 8RQ (based on the A515).

The AGM will commence at 10.30am.  No business shall be discussed or transacted at an Annual General Meeting unless notice thereof appears on the agenda, items should be in the Secretary’s hand by 7th January 2012 (or postmarked prior to 7th January 2012).

UPDATE ON CHESTER: Due to further investigation into Chester’s condition he is now no longer available for re-homing.  Many thanks to all who have taken an interest in him.

This is Chester, he is a 2yr old male GWP, who is due into Rescue in the near future. He possibly has vestibular syndrome – not diagnosed – or some form of mild brain damage, which he does not need medication for, but when stressed does take spasmodic episodes. He is very good with children and people, but is dog aggressive which has been assessed and with the correct training time and dedication he will get over this. It could be due to a learnt behaviour as a puppy as he would have been picked on and had to fight back, so definetly more fear aggressiveness.

He could do with an active home with people who are willing to spend time retraining him as obviously due to his fears he is never really off lead so recall is poor. He does like walking and needs plenty of exercise. He is good in the house and can be left alone for normal periods of time, he normally gets 3 walks a day and is keep in the house.
